Typical Mexican (public market) restaurants. Local food from different vendors. The five stars reflect the local typical style. We're ok to take little risks and we had a fresh fruit cocktail (papaya, banana) with granola and honey (the specials from this kiosk are fresh fruit smoothies) . I know this place it's not for everybody; not many Tourists eating there. At the entrances of the structure, everybody is obligated to wash hands and as of today (January 2023) wear COVID mask 😷.

Place is clean and only prepared food. No raw meat/chicken/fish as...

Decent food from a restaurant that’s been around for five generations. I had the tlayudas mixer with sausage, beef and pork. It had beans, cheese, onions as well as the meats. Imagine a very large tortilla similar to a Medium Sized thin crusted pizza with beans etc. it was tasty particularly the chorizo but the pork and beef were tough and it was a bit tough to eat. The meat had good flavor and if it was tender, it would have been fine.

My wife had the beef soup which she felt was excellent and tasty. Service was good and it’s relatively...

I highly recommend the mole tamale! I also ordered a tlayuda with cecina, and while the meat itself was excellent, I felt it wasn’t quite enough to balance the entire dish. The consomé was also very good, especially when paired with a refreshing horchata sprinkled with almond pieces.

This is a great spot for a meal, not just for the food but for the experience itself. The communal seating gives you the chance to meet locals, hear about their daily lives, and learn more about the city’s stories. I definitely recommend visiting...

Had a chocolate de agua with pan dulce, and a Chile rellenó. That came with tortillas and two salsas so what the heck I decided to put the salsa on the tortilla, divide of the rellenó and eat it that way. It worked. The red salsa was super smoky and excellent. Then i had the enmolada with Oaxacan chorizo in dark mole sauce. It was really good (the chorizo was a bit dry, but maybe that's the way it's supposed to be?) but I couldn't finish.

Came here for breakfast. Black coffee, pan dulce, huevos y frijoles, tortillas. The food was fair, the salsas were tasty. It was the fullest of all the comedors and took it as a reflection of the food. But it was probably full because of it's prime location – it's the first food stall as you come from the bbq area into the food hall. With so many places in the market and Oaxaca in general, I don't think I would return here.
