We came there yesterday evening because of the very good reviews we've received. But the opposite is actually true. We wanted boston pizza. We selected one and wanted to swap ingredients. All boston pizzas are for the same price. We've been told that they can't prepare our pizza with swapped ingredients (we wanted to swap honey for jalapeños) as this is the receipt. After asking again we've been told that they can prepare our selected pizza without honey but if we want jalapeños instead we have to pay extra 35 pesos. I've never met with this conditions before anywhere around the world. I understand when you want extra ingredients you have to pay for but not for swapping. The restaurant was empty and it is in a rented place. I understand they have to pay their rent but this behavior to take your money for everything is ridiculous. Also we had papatinas which weren't as described in the menu and the portion, actually it all, was funny. We were very disappointed. DON'T GO THERE IT IS WASTING OF MONEY. IF YOU WANT really GOOD PIZZA go to Pizza Nostra Spaghetteria.
My reaction to the owner's reply:
I'm sorry, but you're wrong on the first point of your comment. Obviously, you weren't there for the situation and you just asked your employee. Your waiter denied our request at first. On the second attempt, he offered to change it for an additional fee. If this is as you say, why do all Boston pizzas cost the same? Further, if you have your ingredients delicately priced, why was it not suggested to us to deduct the price of the honey and charge us for your special jalapeños instead? You lecture us on empathy towards you but there was no empathy on your part towards the customers. The customers give you their earned money voluntarily for the service rendered if the service is not matching the customer's idea they just refuse the service as it was in our case because to charge for the undelivered ingredients and to charge for the swap on top of it, is not acceptable.
Anyways, thank you for your response and please be sure to include this information in your menus. As for us, we will definitely not come again. We found the situation extremely unpleasant.
We wish you much further...
Read moreGaya is our usual choice for pizza on a rooftop. The pizzas are always a pleasure to behold. The service was usually fine but last time our new waitress was aggressive. She stood too close to us and stood in between my wife and l rather than facing us both. As we were leaving she walked right at my wife to ask her if everything was good. We had to stop and walk around her. It was off putting. We hope she gets proper training soon. We go early enough to avoid the crowd and Gaya is responsive to requests to turn down the music.
We went...
Read moreWhat a Gem to find in Oaxaca! Beautiful roof top setting with some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten! We got both the Detroit Style and Neopolitan Style pizza. The Detroit style is what you would expect and even surpassed expectations. The Neopolitan Style had some of the lightest crust I’ve ever eaten. But the secret 4 blend cheese was what made both styles of crust over the top!!! It was so creamy and flavorful…unbelievable! The owner, Boa, and his staff are friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favor and try this pizza…you...
