On the 7th day, God called upon his most gastronomically inclined angels and created La Cevicheria Oaxaca to graze the taste buds of mankind. Eating here is a spiritual experience that will change your life. This is THE BEST restaurant in Oaxaca in terms of service, taste, presentation, and VALUE.

I have gone to other highly rated and acclaimed restaurants in the city, and let me tell you I WISH I saved my money and came here for every meal instead. It is insane how you can get such an amazing, filling, and creative meal at such a great price.

I would give 6🌟 if I could - best food and service we experienced in Mexico!!

The ceviches are always made with fresh fish from that day (it was tuna on the day we went) and paired with delicious veggies, fruits and a perfect sauce that balances everything out. We also had the shrimp ceviche (first time having raw shrimp), served with apple and pear, and it was mouthwatering. The tuna ceviche stole the show though - with a perfect smokey flavour that I am still dreaming about weeks later.

Honestly, if you’re in Oaxaca, you MUST go to this place. I promise you - you will not regret it. We went at 4PM and the restaurant was still practically full - with more people coming in all the time (mostly locals!!).

I had the traditional ceviche and it was nothing short of a masterpiece. The first few bites nearly brought me to tears — I genuinely had to compose myself. Each mouthful was an explosion of flavor, perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying.
