Palapita Bar — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Such a great spot! 🌴 I felt so welcomed by the staff, who were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the music added a perfect touch—relaxing and at just the right volume. 🎶

I had a chai latte and a suero, both of which were great! I also had a burger 🍔, which was decent, though I went for it only because they were out of avocado 🥑 at the time. Still, the overall quality of the food was satisfying, and the prices were very reasonable, with a good variety to choose from.

One moment that really stood out was how the staff handled an unusual situation. Another guest was playing music 🎵 at the beach, which clashed with the bar’s (great!) playlist. When I politely asked him to turn it off to enjoy the bar’s music, he resisted and even called the bar staff. The waiter stepped in and handled everything with such respect, kindness, and professionalism 👏 that it left a lasting impression. I believe that everyone, including the other guest, appreciated how smoothly the situation was resolved.

I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Puerto Escondido! 🌅 Great vibes, attentive service, and a truly memorable...

Nice vibe in there but one guy that ruined the whole experience. His hat said hector on but I’m not sure if that’s the brand or his name but anyway he took ages to come over and then was very disappointed when we only wanted to order drinks.

After our first drinks (an iced coffee that was basically just iced milk) we moved to be in the sun, and were told that we had to order more drinks to do so.

Even though we were going to order more drinks regardless, I felt that this was just really bad customer service, especially considering hardly anyone was in there.

As soon as the drinks were done, hector was over with the menu again being very pushy and then taking ages to actually come and take our order. At this point we had had enough and decided to leave.

I want to say the young girl in there was very sweet but the manager/owner or whatever role this jobsworth, money grabber fills ruined the whole so called chilled vibe they are trying to achieve in there.

El sábado 4 de julio fuí con varios amigos y había una promoción de alimentos y bebida, pedimos 6 promociones, los alimentos fueron llegando poco a poco y no al mismo tiempo, lo peor fue cuando 2 de nosotros con mucha hambre y después de más de 1 hora esperando preguntamos por los alimentos que no habían llegado, y la mesera nos dijo que iba a preguntar, fue con el encargado y regresó a decirnos que ya no había nada, y que no llegarían más alimentos, pedimos la cuenta y fuimos a buscar al encargado para decirle sobre su mal servicio, el encargado/barman nos dijo que el servicio es así en el lugar, y que hiciéramos lo que quisiéramos que a él no le importaba, le dijimos que Cada quien iba a escribir su mala experiencia y volvió a repetir que a él no le importaba lo que hicieramos. Sólo fuimos a este lugar porque no había otros lugares abiertos, NO recomiendo el lugar, el servicio es pésimo, había 2 personas para todo el lugar que estaba lleno y al encargado del lugar no le importa dar un mal servicio porque era el único lugar abierto. No vuelvo a regresar. Pésima atención y servicio.

On Saturday, July 4th, I went with several friends and there was a food and drink promotion, we asked for 6 promotions, the food was arriving little by little and not at the same time, the worst was when 2 of us were very hungry and after more than 1 hour waiting we asked about the food that had not arrived, and the waitress told us that she was going to ask, she went with the manager and returned to tell us that there was nothing left, and that no more food would arrive, we asked for the bill and went to look for to the manager to tell him about his bad service, the manager / bartender told us that the service is like that in the place, and that we did what we wanted that he did not care, we told him that everyone was going to write his bad experience and he returned to repeat that he did not care what we did. We only went to this place because there were no other places open, I do NOT recommend the place, the service is lousy, there were 2 people for the whole place that was full and the place manager does not mind giving bad service because it was the only place open . I will never return. Terrible attention...
