Xcaanda — Restaurant in Oaxaca

The rooftop area is beautiful and overlooks the ocean. However, the service is non-existent. We sat down and ordered tacos, a cold coffee and chai tea off of the menu. The waitress explained that they had a huge party prior to us and they drank alllll the non-alcoholic drinks. We decided to leave as we didn’t want that. On our way out I stopped by the bar to see if any coffee was left. The bar said that they could make us any of the drinks. After 1pm the menu changes to no juice or coffee being served and it was 1:30pm. They said they would make us whatever we wanted which seemed really nice. Weird that the first server felt the need to lie about it. We ordered our drinks and tuna tacos and went back to sit down. Our drinks came after 10minutes. They provided me with cold milk as a chai tea? I asked for two glasses of water (we had been here the day before and got served this). The water never came so I went back to the bar to get two glasses of water. Another server insisted they only sell bottled water. I told her we got glasses of water the day before and the entire restaurant had glasses of water on every table. We ended up cancelling our food and leaving. Unsure why they decided to make our dining experience difficult and lied about their standards....

We had a Beer, a Cocktail and a Aperol spritz to drink. The only good Drink was the Beer. The Aperol spritz taste Like water with flavour, same for the Cocktail.

But its only the beginning. We had prawn, chevice de Coliflor and tostadas. We waited for more than one hour for the food, while nearly no one else was in the restaurant. The food came cold, but that was not the problem cause u couldl not eat it. The vegetables were uncooked and the prawns were unpeeled, baked over with a lot of cheese. U could not peel them well, so u can eat the cheese and have to leave a lot of tastyless prawns. We were unhappy and ask the Manager what we can do. Atleast we got 10% on the three dishes, which we cant even eat. He was very unfriendly and showed no understanding, because everyone of us tried some of it....

I was there last Saturday night. Bartenders were nice. But the staff cleaning the tables were awful. They would just take all glasses and bottles without even asking if we were done. The 2 times when we stopped them from doing it they were feisty. Specially this guy named Jorge. All he needed to say was I’m sorry. But instead, he argued saying we didn’t get the table reserved so we didn’t get to use it. Customer service ZERO!!! It was late night. Table was in the middle of dance floor. If establishment doesn’t want us using it then take it away. I am sure there wasn’t any more reservations at that point. Ps.: We saw other people also chasing staff to get their drinks back. We complained to the manager, he was defensive saying about the reserved table and again no “I am...
