The Vegetarian 5 Point Review: Luna Cafe (Chichén Itzá) Taste - 8/10 Easily one of the best vegetarian-friendly spots near Chichén Itzá. The avocado toast was the standout, followed by the ciabatta sandwich, and then the vegetarian crepe. All three were delicious and satisfying after a long day in the sun. Ambience - 9/10 For being in such a remote location, Luna Cafe is impressively well maintained. The air conditioning is a lifesaver—it's the perfect place to relax and cool off after battling the heat of the ruins. Service - 9/10 The staff was super helpful, pointing out all the vegetarian options and even giving us complimentary water. Communication in English was smooth, which made the experience even better. Value for Money - 7/10 On the pricier side, but totally worth it for the quality and convenience—especially considering how hard it is to find good vegetarian food near Chichén Itzá. Recommendations: Avocado toast Ciabatta sandwich Vegetarian crepe Great pit stop for any vegetarian traveler!

What an absolute gem - we found this place a short walk from our hotel & were pleasantly surprised! Great wifi, air conditioned and super cute. They had fantastic coffee, smoothies, lots of vegetarian options & the food was delicious. Great service & atmosphere - definitely check it out, a short detour from the ruins & was by far the best place in town we have been to during our stay here. Entrance is at the back of the building with lots of parking & the staff here are lovely.

Lovely little cafe! A welcomed follow up to our morning (hot!) at Chichen Itza, away from the growing crowds and touts. There’s parking behind the building and the cafe is on the second floor with a nice breeze. Very sweet ladies served up some cold coffee drinks, smoothies for my kids, and a great lunch. The panini especial was delicious! My daughter and son loved their tuna and hamburger. Husband enjoyed his crepe. Hope to return someday!

Would go back in a heartbeat. We descended on the cafe with a group of 19 all at once at about 11a. They handled the crowd well even with a very limited staff.

My family of 6 ate for less than $600 pesos/USD$30. The food was quite good and excellent in light of the pricing.

They offered a few different pastas, some ciabatta sandwiches, and a local twist on a hamburger with the addition of ham, bacon, and manchego cheese.

My wife is a celiac and had the hamburger without the bun. She had no negative effect from cross contamination and would recommend for other celiacs or those with gluten allergies.

Would return in...
