Excellent homemade food. When we got there the buffet looked a little empty...not many options. There was salad, rice, spaghetti, refried beans, and 2 variations of chicken.
To be honest, they all looked plain, HOWEVER, every single dish did not disappoint. The rice was incredible, the spaghetti was flavorful, the beans were excellent. We only tried the Pollo Yucateco chicken, and it was excellent.
Tortillas made by hand that you will only find with an experienced abuelita. Highly recommend the food. The service was adecuate.
The only negative is no one told us they charged extra for the drinks (agua fresca) and they did notnmention anything about refills. We thought drinks were included with the buffet and it made it a little awkward when we tried to leave. (You pay up front for the buffet, so the server chased us down when we tried to leave. In our opinión, someone up front, or the server should have warned us that agua fresca and refills were not included.
If I recall, we paid around $250 pesos per person. Our 4 year old...
Read moreI parked in front of this restaurant and went inside about noon. It was early and there were no other customers. I spent 2 hours here while my friends visited Chichén Itzá. I sat at the table in the back by the pool, looking away from my car and at the pool. When I finished and paid the waiter said I had low air in one tire. He suggested the llantera Nahuat a few feet ahead. I took it there. He took the tire off and put it in water. After a few minutes he said “it’s leaking here. Look.” I looked and looked and never saw the air leak. He went ahead and “fixed it” for 100 pesos. When I asked for a receipt, he adamantly refused. I think my waiter at the restaurant depleted my air so his friend can make some money for nothing. I’m not dumb. There was...
Read moreI do not recommend this “Buffet” the food options are limited to like 6 trays & the time I went after my trip to Chichén Itza, none of the food was appetizing. We were served these “tostadas” food called panuchos kind of as an appetizer. I would say the appetizer, the home made tortillas, and the entertainment were the only “good” things this restaurant had to offer. The food is a no go, I believe this is a tour guides stopping location. If your tour guide recommends this place run! They probably get some kind of commission for taking tourist here. The food was gross and of course drink are a separate charge. You can get some better food for less than 200 pesos and way more authentic and...
