Balché Restaurant at Vidanta Riviera Maya — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

We've stayed at the Grande Luxxe 5 times so far and we've dined at most all of the restaurants in and around the Mayan Palace facilities. The restaurant the we keep returning to time and time again for dinner is Balché. I've probably had everything on the menu at least once. If you don't happen see an entre that like, don't be afraid to ask for what you want. The wait and kitchen staff are friendly and accommodating. I've even mixed and matched different entrées. They're also good at keeping you children entertained. Ask the wait staff to show you have to make animals and other things out of the napkins. Truly a great place, we'll be heading back...

This is listed as pool side snack bar. honestly it is much more than that. The people do not act like it is "just a pool side bar" and the food doesn't reflect that either.The service is consistently excellent. The food is amazing. The ceviche I photographed is one of the best in the entire resort, and we ate a lot. Drink menu is same as rest if resort, but my waiter helped me find a Don Julio Anejo tequila that was fantastic. We had gotten seated and were eating when it started to rain the restaurant was bit full. I was going to go get more fruit then waitress told me that if he could get our check and we said yes he seemed very eager to get us out since their was a bit of people waiting and we spent probably not even 20 min their.
