Monday evening 2nd October and we visited this Mexican themed restaurant for dinner. It is located in the Riu Palace Mexico where we stayed during our holiday.
No reservation was required, we just turned up and were shown to a table.
We downloaded the menu from the QR code on the table. We ordered our main courses and dessert at the same time, we also ordered our drinks.
We then made our way to the buffet to select our starters. Most of the food here looked a bit dried up as if it had been there for ages, not very appetising
When our main courses we were served the chicken enchiladas with red and green sauces, were swimming in the sauces. The enchiladas were rubbery and the first mouthful of chicken was gristle, put me right off.
The grilled octopus with garlic guajillo potatoes.was so hard it was difficult to cut with a knife.
Overall the food was awful, however the Staff were charming and friendly, they did there best and worked hard to make the best of a bad situation.
Did like how the resturant was made to resemble a cellar, hence the name Bodega which means Store usually associated with wine.
Can understand why there was little or no demand for tables here, we left without eating our dinners, One word description awful,...
