Alright, I'll admit I'm not too picky when it comes to pizza but hear me out. At first glance, I got a genuine feeling that it was a quaint little family run restaurant operating from the side of their home and as someone who loves to support these kinds of places (and someone who loves pizza), it was a no-brainer that my girlfriend and I had to stop in and try it out. The waitress greeted us in decent English and was such a sweetheart. The atmosphere was a pleasant vibe with warm lighting, homey decor, and Bob Marley quietly playing out of a set of good quality speakers. The menu was surprisingly diverse with many different toppings, a few different varieties of calzones, papas rellenas, and some chicken wings. We went with the large Rustik (160 pesos) to share which had thinly sliced chorizo, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Honestly, it was so delicious. It was a nice thin, artisan style crust with excellent quality ingredients baked in a woodfire oven. Although I can eat a lot, the large between 2 of us was totally satisfying (I did question whether I should order another just based on taste alone, not because I needed more to feel full😂) All in all, it was an amazing value and a wholesome experience as soon as you walk through the sliding garage doors. (We went again a few days later and had a different server but the quality didn't change at all, he was fantastic and the food was just as good the second time). Get out of Centro for a bit and try something different. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. Highly recommend...
Read moreGreat small neighborhood pizza place. Open air dining, they have around four tables for eating in. The food is made right there by hard working people. We always get a couple pizzas to go, and they're ready in about an hour. I get the vegetariana sin queso for a vegan pizza, and my partner gets the rustica. The very kind host patiently deciphers my beginner Spanish when I pick them up, the food is excellent, and the pizza bottoms ways have a lovely char. While the vegetariana sin queso is great as-is, I recommend buying some vegan feta from Chedurai and adding it yourself, that makes it...
Read moreExcellent! The setting is nice, the couple who owns it are very friendly and helpful and speak fluent English. They have a real wood-fired oven and the pizza was really good, especially at that price. They have amazing salsa picante de la casa made from olive oil, crushed red peppers and garlic. We also ordered a baked potato and thought it was very good, but probably wouldn’t order it again at 95 pesos. Overall a very good value and we’ll be back. Next time we’re trying the calzone! They also had chicken wings and dessert (helado y tiramisu). There...
