HK Juice Bar Progreso — Restaurant in Progreso

Came about quarter to 12pm as google said they close at 12:30pm. Found both employees sitting at the table on their phones. They immediately got up and went behind the counter but didn’t greet me or say anything. I asked if they sell waffles and she pointed to the menu. I ordered two waffles and asked to confirm they were closing at 12:30pm and she smiled and just sort of shrugged. I then asked if we had enough time to eat there before they close and she just sort of smiled and shrugged again. Asked her another two times while waiting for the waffles and got the same response.

It was a pretty long wait for two waffles and when they arrived, the first one was still raw on the inside. She brought two plates, one at a time and then came back to bring us one fork. Didn’t bother asking for another one. Just ate it as fast as we could with our hands and left. Walked out at 12:32pm.

Disappointing and would not recommend. Very awkward service and...

The young couple that runs this place does an excellent job providing fresh juices and food. Just one block away from the main drag. Definitely worth the stroll. Nice size portions, and very good value

UPDATE!!! They now have ICED COFFEE. Like real, honest to goodness ICED COFFEE.

Not hot coffee poured over one ice cube.

Not an ice cream frappe.

But delicious cold brewed coffee over a FULL cup of ice with milk...

I do not speak Spanish (shame on me) so unfortunately I could not make her understand what I was asking (delivery? Recommendations for detox, etc) She was very pleasant & tried to understand. So, I only but a watermelon...
