Thank you for sharing your draft — it’s actually quite strong and honest as-is. The core message comes through clearly: you felt rushed, unwelcome, and disappointed. What we can do now is refine it slightly for flow, clarity, and tone, without changing your voice or message. Here's your version, lightly edited for impact:
What an unfortunate, miserable experience.
I can only speak to what we ordered, but the experience overall was extremely disappointing. We arrived around 9:00 PM on a Saturday night, under the assumption the restaurant was open until 11:30 PM. By 9:45, someone came over to tell us we needed to order immediately because the kitchen was closing. That caught us completely off guard.
Even before that, we were being rushed. Three separate people tried to take our menus while we were still looking at them. I explained to the waiter that we just wanted to relax, have a drink, and enjoy a slow-paced meal, but that clearly wasn’t going to happen.
We ordered an appetizer to have with our drinks, and it was very bad. You’d expect an appetizer that features goat cheese to actually have some goat cheese, but there was barely any. If you're expecting goat cheese I wouldn't recommend anything on their menu with goat cheese. In fact I was skeptical of most dishes on the menu, but I was approaching the menu as an American and world traveler.
On top of that, there were constant interruptions, the table wasn’t even set properly (no plates or silverware), and the whole thing just felt sloppy. The drinks tasted like they had little to no alcohol. I ordered a cocktail that was supposed to feature marinated bacon. I was expecting at least a small bacon garnish. Nope. They told me they just "strain it through bacon," which was another total let down.
Between the rushed service, the unnecessarily loud music, the disappointing food, and the feeling that they just wanted us out, it felt more like a TGI Friday’s or Applebee’s than a quality restaurant. And that might be fine, but not when you expect every meal to count. When their menu tells The story of how great they are, you expect to be paying for the best but when they serve you crap and give you bad service they still expect you to pay for the best even though you don't get it...
If you only have a limited number of dinners during your trip, don’t waste one here. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
We had to go somewhere to eat after this tragedy. Ended up at Hook to redeem the evening....
Read moreShockingly bad experience.
WORST part: in the women’s bathroom there are two stalls. One was taped shut saying “out of service”. The other toilet was FULL of blood. And it did not flush… soon realized there was no running water in the women’s OR men’s bathroom, so no toilets could be flushed AND could not wash hands… so then the question is, HOW ARE THE KITCHEN STAFF WASHING THEIR OWN HANDS, the plates our food came in, etc. .. the restaurant SHOULD NOT BE OPEN if this is the situation. Disgusting.
Food quality was very disappointing… we ordered the tapas with Brie, figs, and apple… for some reason the ingredients were not sliced thinly, but were in big cubes on different parts of the toast making it impossible to eat. It made no sense. Pizza was a soggy mess. Bolognese pasta was fine. Nothing had any real flavour.
Service was very poor. We were rushed to order when we arrived, but over 50 minutes after ordering, still no food, not even chips and salsas like we saw other tables getting… had to go find someone to ask if we were allowed to get chips and salsa too…
Music very loud and a very strange choice of songs.
In general this was the restaurant we were most looking forward to during our week in Puebla, but it turned out to be by far the worst (especially considering the...
Read moreBasically found about this restaurant from Google Maps so decided to try it. Their tortillas and salsas were delicious I wiped them off the plate. For the starter I had TACOS DE FLOR DE JAMAICA, its a handmade spinach tacos with seasoned hibiscus flowers and roquefort cheese over a bed of fresh lettuce and beetroot, it was interesting and delicious, the roquefort cheese gave it a beautiful kick and the salad was flattering with the dish, as main I had the POLLO MARATA, a chicken breast plate accompanied by grilled vegetables and mango sauce with habanero teriyaki and balsamic reduction, which was beautifully presented, everything tasted on the sport, perfectly seasoned, the chicken wasn't dry it was tender, the veggies added a nice texture to the palte and a lot of colors, the mango sauce was perfect. I had Tamarindo Mint as a drink from the mocktail menu but it was very average. Overall everything was good, and I am glad I came. I was served by Mr. Miguel, he was very professional, elegant and smiling. Helped me navigating the menu as I don't eat pork or drink alcohol, he kept checking on me if everything was good and if I needed something else, so did Mr.Luis. Gracias para la...
