Café Antoinette Mayakoba — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We've been fans of Café Antoinette since almost a decade ago when we lived in Cancún and they opened their first location there.

It was a nice surprise to find this one almost hidden at the edge of the jungle near the entrance to Playa del Carmen and even happier to see this place is 100% pet friendly, including the staff who were super nice and friendly with our dog.

Wasn't crowded at all and we sat outside in a wonderful jungle garden with lots of tropical birds which made our dog really happy. She spent the whole time watching them fly around.

Food and coffee was excellent as usual, with freshly baked croissants and beautiful presentation.

Please don’t go to this place if you wanna use the playground. Right in front of the playground, there’s these rocks (I circled in the pics). My little boy almost 5, tripped over it 2 times and badly bruised his hands, elbows, knees. They should remove these rocks. It’s a big hazard and danger for the kids as well as the parents. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more injuries...

Really bad service, slow, slow, slow, and their excuse for it was...we are too busy... Ok so what?... Isn't that what restaurants are.. want, .. bad management, .. food way to bland..my plate was cold. Really expensive for what you get. Cakes old,.. will not be coming back.. you just lost 4 customers.. and will NOT recommend you at all... May you stay open long...
