Avoid. DO NOT GO. We felt cheated. We felt tricked. AVOID THIS PLACE. 4 adults ate lunch. 140.00! This place is like a hole In the wall. sit in plastic like chairs, cheaply decorated and no real “extras”. 140.00 would have been fine if we were served our meal on a plate with sides but it was a serving like a fast food restaurant. I admit the food was good but for tostadas and a few beers the price was outrageous. We were actually stunned. Had no idea when we ordered that it was overpriced to this extent. Went next door for burger for the kids, 23.00....

I just walked in to check it out and they were so friendly that I couldn’t leave. So I sat down and looked at the menu and it looked amazing. I ordered a seafood tostada and a Mezcal margarita, and both blew me away. This might be the best small meal I’ve had in Mexico, which is crazy because I’ve had a lot of good food. La Fondita is a great spot for lunch if you’re staying in Mayakoba. They specialize in tostadas, and these tostadas are incredible. I recommend getting the beef tongue birria and chicken tinga tostadas. The seafood tostadas are great, as well.
