Ki'is was simply amazing. A true treat for your palate. Many of the dishes being complex, yet delicious. While staying at The Riveria Maya Edition at Kanai, we dined at Ki'is for our anniversary. Our waiter was phenomenal and assisted us in picking out some delectable cocktails and cuisines during our dining experience. We started with the Hibiscus Mescalita. It had a very refreshing yet smoky taste. Our waiter provided us with champagne since we were celebrating our anniversary and let us try a complimentary chef's dish, Salebute, which was the perfect bite that was packed with flavor. We had the Carne Apache for our appetizer. My husband and I had an open mind ordering this, as it wasn't our first choice; however, it turned out to be really, really tasty. For entrees, we ordered the Braised Short Rib. Don't even think about ordering anything else, GET THIS! It was such a unique dish but composed perfectly. The meat was cooked to perfection. So tender, a knife is not needed. The accompaniments were paired perfectly. The overall dish was outstanding. To end the night, we ordered the Jericalla without coconut flakes (due to a food allergy) and hot chocolate. The Jericalla is similar to creme brûlée. It was really good as well. This dining experience couldn't get any better than this. If you're looking for an elevated but fresh, delicious, and innovative dining experience, check out Ki'is!

We had the tasting menu, added the lechón à la carte, and ordered the Ki’Is Colada for drinks. The tasting menu was a 2.5–3 hour fine dining experience with beautifully presented dishes. The price has increased to 2,900 MXN (up from 1,900 MXN, based on a photo from 9 months ago). The lechón portion also appears to have shrunk—ours came with just two pieces, compared to the 3–4 larger pieces shown in earlier reviews. Some dishes, like the fish and lamb entrée, were unfortunately quite dry, so I ended up sticking with just the lechón as my main. The short rib that one member in our party got was decent but not memorable. The geoduck sashimi was fresh and flavorful—the kind of dish where the quality of the premium ingredient really shines. It felt more like a celebration of the ingredient itself than of any elaborate preparation. That said, the standout dishes truly wowed us—especially the lobster taco, lechón (a must!), and calamar. These dishes were truly 10/10. I had high expectations for the lechón after seeing the photos, and it certainly delivered- crispy skin with soft, moist meat. The KI’Is Colada was so good we ordered it again… and again… and kept them coming! Overall, I would give this place 4-4.3 stars.

Amazing food and service. Our waiter Uriel was incredible and explained all the dishes and drinks really well. Relaxing atmosphere. Mr. Mike surprised us with some cool drinks. Will come back!

We stayed at the Edition, Kanai Saturday to Saturday. We made reservations for Thursday, expecting to do the tasting menu as our best, extravagant night for our trip. It absolutely blew us away. It was the first night with their 11 course tasting menu and if they hadn’t come over to ask for feedback we would have had no idea. Their service was polished, their staff knowledgeable. It is one thing for a staff to be cohesive, and another for them to feel relaxed and comfortable with the menu, the service, and each other- they felt like family. The tasting menu was incredibly creative in both plating style and flavor profiles. Each presentation was intricate without drawing focus away from the focal point- the food and the wine pairings. The food and the restaurant theme is rooted in tradition, creating beautiful tasting profiles throughout. It blew us away so, we opted to dine there again Friday night, this time at the bar ordering from the a la carte menu. This experience was also incredible. Their bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable, and eager to share their expertise in craft cocktails. The managers and head of wait staff checked in with us during our first night. The following night they, along with the servers from our tasting experience made it a point to welcome us back and express their gratitude. Unfortunately, I am terrible with names. The only names I am able to now remember are Miguel & Alexis, but the entire staff was incredible, and made us feel right at home. The mushroom appetizer, short rib and octopus were delicious, and again came with simple yet thoughtful presentation, allowing the food to be the star of the show. We absolutely recommend this restaurant for all guests. This was by far and away the best restaurant experience we had at both the Edition and St. Regis. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience generally at the...
