The MarketPlace by Wolfgang Puck — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Started off well and asked for a plain baguette with turkey and butter for my son with just chips on the side, then he brings it over and it's correct but with a big helping of sliced pickles on the side and all the juice has run into the sandwich and made it soggy and taste of vinegar, I explained this was not what I wanted and said he won't eat it and they made another! He brings it over and says her you go and it's got smoked ham and cheese in it! At this point I say this is wrong and the server on the till gives me a rude filthy look which got me really angry! So they make one more and bring it over and guess what?....... yep it's wrong it's was turkey butter and now with Swiss cheese!!! They could not care less, the chef could not be bothered initially to even get up from her break and let the manager make it as it was so simple! Obviously not! So for the privelidge of eating 2 sandwiches (1 of which was wrong 3 times) and 2 drinks in a upmarket deli stop it cost me $578.00 pesos!!! You do the maths! Unbelievably bad customer service and you should be ashamed of yourselves when you even gave my son a filthy look!...

My family and I had a very early morning breakfast here on January 15th, 2022. The food tasted worse than a cheap buffet, which was strange as it was just eggs, sausage, and toast. Considering the restaurant namesake and basic offering of the menu, I assumed it would be good, which it was not. The server was very attentive and pleasant, that is until he brought the bill. I was under the impression gratuity was included in the price. In addition to this, the food and drinks were very overpriced. When I told him to "keep the change", the server's pleasant demeanor instantly changed and he became condescending to the point of intimidating that I had not tipped him at minimum, an additional 15%. He pulled out his calculator to prove it and embarrassed me in front of my wife and kids. I had had a very early morning and I was not in the mood for this level of confrontation, so I complied and gave him the tip that he felt he deserved. He took it and just walked away. The encounter bothered me the entire flight home. Needless to say, we will not return to this restaurant if we ever find ourselves in this...

My wife & I had a long day of traveling ahead of us, so we decided to get a nice meal to start our day. We had never ate at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, so why not give this a try. My wife ordered a chicken wrap & water. Her chicken wrap was presented nicely and she enjoyed her meal. I ordered a medium rare NY steak and a soda. When they brought me my food, I asked for a steak knife. All they could give me was a plastic knife (due to airport restrictions)! Would have been nice to know before ordering a steak. The waiter offered to have the steak cut back in the kitchen. I declined the offer. He should have offered to chew my steak for me as well! It was like rubber! Imagine trying to cut a piece of rubber with a plastic knife. Then trying to chew the rubber to get it down my throat. I could only manage to eat about half of the steak (I was so hungry!). And then I had to pay $111 Canadian for the horrible experience. Definitely will be avoiding this place in the future. I should have looked at the horrible reviews before we chose this spot....
