Ushi Sushi — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Updating my review after two years. I was really looking forward to enjoying Ushi Sushi again, and unfortunately was not thrilled. The sushi had a lot less flavor, and a lot more sauce. Waitstaff were polite and helpful, but the caliber of the food was not as I remember it.

Located in The Market in Puerto Aventuras, a cute collection of restaurants and bars near the entrance to town. Very nice arranged with a great water feature in the middle. Great venue for families with children and/or pets.

The sushi restaurant was both good and bad. We were told to seat ourselves, but eventually had to flag down the same waiter who told us to seat ourselves, as he had forgotten about us. However, he was apologetic and helped us order a good meal. There is a mushroom appetizer not yet on the printed menu but available everyday that was recommended, and it was outstanding. After that we had high hopes for the sushi, which was just ok. We had a deep fried roll, which was served with a massive amount of eel sauce, more than could possibly be consumed by any reasonable person, but no ginger or wasabi. I eat twice already . Once for lunch with my family and once for dinner with my fiance and was delicious 😋 very good sushi that I definitely recommend...
