i ordered a side of avocados for my son and they tasted like fish. When I told the waiter hoping to get a replacement, he told me that it was impossible, that he watched them make it and I was just not used to eating pure avocado (as opposed to guacamole). I eat avocados every day, and I told him so. He walked away pissed off and never had a hint of apology or offering to replace. Furthermore, my son could be allergic to fish so the hygene in this place is super suspect... never coming here again. Too bad for them because I am on vacation for 10 weeks and could have come here multiple times. Instead they get a bad review, all for $2 of avocado (although my main meal was pretty subpar too...)

Edit: someone replied that they can prove with cameras that "a fresh knife" was used...what about the cutting board or the utensils... I don't care, I promise you that it tasted like fish...I even asked the waiter to try it for himself and he said no and kept defending his position...I just wanted my 6 month old infant to be safe... You chose and are still choosing to defend yourselves rather than offering a new order at the time this happened which would have cost you little money...forget...

On our visit to San Pancho we wanted to eat right on the beach and stubbled across La Perla. The ambiance was lovely and there was a mariachi. The food was all delicious. Flavor on our plates was 5 out 5. The service was good but it took a while. We were a party on 4 and 2 people got there food in a decent about of time and the other plates came way later. We had to remind them of our plates because it was taking a long time. Other than that I would...

We came to La Perla just to be at the beach but be in the shade. We grabbed a table and sat for quite a while until we finally got service. We didn't mind that because we had nothing to do but enjoy the beach view with shade. The food was alright quesadillas but let me tell you,.... The Cadillac margaritas were perhaps the best margaritas in Nayarit!! Large sized, strong and no crummy feeling afterwards from cheap tequila. We had two and the rest of the...

Save this if you need restaurant recommendations for Sayulita, Puerto Vallarta, and San Pancho. If you’re a huge Mexican foodie that’s been to places like Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca, or your family cooks amazing, lower your expectations for the more popular “traditional” dishes. 😅 Stick to ceviche, aguachile, and modern Mexican seafood dishes. Puerto Vallarta: Lamara, Pulqueria Chinga Quedito, the churros guy, and mariscos Cisneros. Order the tacos de jaiba which are crab “tacos” but more like an enchilada since they’re drenched in a delicious shrimp sauce. Sayulita: Barracuda Sayulita, the sopes de pulpo 🐙 were amazing. Aguachile and the tuna tartare were delish and can’t go wrong ordering a cocktail. Casa del Chile Relleno: order the shrimp stuffed chile relleno with a passion fruit juice. El Itacate: steak tacos and jamaica quesadilla. Birria Paty or tacos al pastor Díaz for some street tacos. San Pancho: la Perla for aguachile & cocktails on the beach. Limbo: pricey but omg the huitlacoche tacos were to diiiie for. Jamaica tacos were awesome as well. #visitsayulita #travelmexico #mexicanadventure #sayulita #sayulitarestaurant #womenwhotravel #travelingwomen #travelgirlsgo #journeysofgirls #solofemaletravel #femmetravels #globetrottergirl #sayulitalife #sanpancho #nayaritmexico

This is the spot for a sunset dinner in San Pancho! Our waiter gave us the best seat available. Come about 40 minutes before sunset. We ordered shrimp fajitas and food was very fresh. My husband loved the hot sauce! I didn’t get a cocktail, but my husband said the Cuba libre was tasty. Bring small coins as musicians come around and sing….be sure to tip as they are locals and even the smallest bit of money goes a long way for them.
