Baja Fish Taquito — Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende

We had one or two pricey but disappointing meals in SMA, so I found this place because it was near our Airbnb, had good ratings, and wasn't too expensive. We had two rounds of margaritas and a shrimp cóctel in addition to our meals, so we spent more than strictly necessary, but I think you could probably have a meal and a refreshing beverage for about $200 pesos if you wanted to. I was wary of eating fish in the middle of México, but if you can drink coffee in Canada I guess you can eat fish in the desert. 🤷‍♀️ We had shrimp cóctel, burritos, tostadas, and a taco. Everything was very good and it was all very filling. Our server was super attentive and helped us to keep our glasses full and the table clean. It's not the most spectacular view in the city, but nonetheless you can watch the sun set over the city if you time it right. Definitely better than some of the overpriced places in the city center that are only catering to certain...

Fantastic experience in a genuine place. Service was very attentive and super friendly. The food was great and came quickly, it was also nicely prepared on the plates and with a basket keeping the tacos warm. I highly recommend the tuna tostada (had a second round of those), tilapia ceviche tostadas, battered tilapia fish tacos and shrimp pastor tacos. Another highlight are the salsas (home made green, red and habanera). Prices are very affordable.
