Café de la Aurora — Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende

This is a small outdoor cafe in the Fabrica de Aurora art gallery complex in San Miguel de Allende. Because of it's center location in the complex, it tends to be very busy. The place is quite small, limited tables that are all outside on a patio. Nice spot, but you may have to wait to get a seat. There is both table and counter service. They have a full bar and full menu. Service was good. The only thing to be careful of is what you get for your money... Several in our party of six ordered fries with their sandwiches. They only got 5-6 small fries on the side. Now, I'm all about portion control but for the cost it was kind of noticeable... Not sure if they had supply issues, but it wasn't what we expected. We enjoy the atmosphere of this place. We usually stop by on the way home from a long walk, so its usually cold beer that we are after. It is cold and not outrageously priced. Had pizza once and it was really good - nice thin crust that was cooked properly with good sauce and toppings. We haven't been often, but seem to spot some of the same people each time we go. Pathetic salad and sent Panini back. It wasn't hot or freshly grilled and by the time I got to the second half it was soggy and cold. I refused to pay the whole bill which they did not balk at.
