I stayed solo at Casa 21. I was in town for a family wedding. Casa 21 offers many of the same amentities that are offered in the more expensive Rosewood Residences. The home is located in a quiet and very safe part of the city. One can easily walk to all the major delights that the city has to offer. The welcome staff was simple amazing and Raul (Head of Engineering) and Ivan (Head of Housekeeping) made my stay there especially top of the line. The home features 3.5 bedrooms, with 3 full baths located in each of the full bedrooms. Technically there is four different floors for one to explore. The Kitchen is packed with all the things one would need to prepare, cook, entertain an entire family. The bedrooms are very private from one another. There's two different routers for wi-fi, although the signal at the entrance of the home and in the first bedroom to the right do not connect. (there is an extender in the second bedroom on the right). The rooftop offers amazing views of the city both during the morning, afternoon and night. There is a nice waterfall set up as you walk in through the main hallway leading to the living room. The master bedroom includes the second router to the home. Plenty of closet space! Home has a washer/dryer and an Iron with ironing board. One can easily log into any of number of apps on the Smart TVs in the home. There are fireplaces for both warmth and appeal. Plenty of Art deco throughout the home. I received breakfast with my stay at the sister property up the street Casa Delphine. It was personally prepared and served with increadible kindness and included coffee, selection of fruits, pastries and juice. Overall my stay (rather brief at 48 hours) was an exceptional one. Please look at all the photos and enjoy, you will not be disappointed in...
Read moreIf you’re a spark notes kind of person then my summary is that Casa Delphine is an absolute gem. I often travel alone so I book my accommodations with great care and as an Art Director I also care quite a bit about the design and details of every hotel I stay at. When I stumbled upon photos of Casa Delphine online and read the story of how the owner, Amanda, had started it I had an instant feeling it would be perfect for me. From the second I walked through the door I felt safe and looked out for (there was always a host in the foyer), I felt dialed-in to the city of San Miguel (I met Amanda who gave the most amazing and in-the-know recommendations for anything and everything I was looking for in the city), and I felt like I was in design heaven (every single detail from the ivy on the walls to the balcony in my room, to the uniquely shaped windows filtering through quatrefoil spots of sunlight made me want to snap a picture). Likewise, the city of San Miguel itself it breathtaking and I found myself meeting many other young solo travelers and local creatives, and eating incredible food in beautifully designed restaurants. So grateful to Casa Delphine for giving me a sense of comfort and inspiration all at once! Oh and one more thing - incredible wifi and tranquil areas for settling in and doing work which can be quite hard to find when traveling and working remote so I value this...
Read moreWe stayed at Casa 21, the private casa managed by Casa Delphine right down the street from the hotel. We came as a group of 3 colleagues for a conference and we fell in love with this space! It was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Also, it was so spacious that we never really felt in each other's hair. Even though the entrance was near the street, it was peaceful and quiet for most of our trip. It is situated on a quiet street that is also very centrally located so easy to walk to many of the main attractions. The beds were quite comfortable. Checking in was very easy and accommodating and we never really needed anything while we were there, the place is very adequately equipped. There are several outdoor spaces for relaxing and watching the sunset. Lots of photogenic corners and beautiful plants throughout. We did have one issue with the lights in the living room blinking but that did not really bother us as we spent so much time hanging in the outdoor spaces. We would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and lovely stay in the heart of San...
