We went there during our Carnival Dream cruise Feb 20, 2020. We chose this excursion as it seemed like a smaller, quieter place. No Mr. Sanchos craziness for us! I am disabled and use a walker. The first guide, Fernando, didn't impress me at all. He put people in groups for the vans and kept leaving us out. We were standing there alone for a long time and he seemed upset with us for not being on a van. I told him he never assigned one to us. We finally got a taxi ride to the place.

Upon arriving the mood changed drastically. We were welcomed and given the instructions on where to go for snorkeling. This guide, MIguel was fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate my disability. They kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to do it. As my illness is getting worse, I told them this was one of my bucket list things to do before I'm in a wheelchair. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. When we did get in the water, I did have some difficulty with the fins as my legs are weak. They gave me a lifeguard pad to keep me afloat and I had a guide right by my side for the entire time. I was only able to stay in for about 15 minutes before the pain became too much to handle. They were very understanding and helped me out. They offered me a private guide, but I knew my legs wouldn't handle it. As Diana says "you did it - you snorkeled!" So I've chalked another thing off my bucket list!

Then we sat on the beach under an umbrella with pads on our chairs and relaxed with listening to the waves. Gonzolo came often with drinks for us. We ordered lunch and it was delicious! The guacamole was the best I've ever had. Yes the food was more expensive than advertised and much more than the exchange rate. However it was so good and the service was awesome so we didn't mind.

If you're looking for a smaller, quieter place with several fun options this place is AMAZING! I will go again next year when I cruise. Yes the beach by the water is rocky in places, so be sure to bring water shoes. Oh and when I got my final bill, they had changed my excursion from $49.99 to $29.99, the price without the snorkeling. I thought that was such a nice thing for them to do. Thanks to you all for making my vacation wonderful...

My day at the Island Beach Club last week was a mixed one. Before we even started the zip line adventure we were immediately informed no GoPros and no smartphones allowed whatsoever. I have zip lined in Belize and Isla Roatan and both never prohibited them. Their excuse was the they will take your pics (and then of course charge you for it). This got the day off to a sour note. After the zip lining, which was much shorter than the other ones I have done before, we went snorkeling which lasted at most 10-15 minutes in the water. The dead reef was nothing to write home about and the fish were few and far between. Soon as we were done our guide immediately made it abundantly clear he wanted a tip. He must have mentioned that multiple times and I told him I had to grab my wallet as of course I was going to leave one. By the time we were done with that the Carnival Cruise flood gates opened and we could only grab chairs in the sun. I asked multiple waiters to bring an umbrella, but they could never be bothered while a person near us got theirs in a few minutes. Our server was Christian who was impossible to find. After waiting 20 minutes to get my $22 water downed drink, he disappeared when we wanted to order food. At this point my wife had enough and wanted to leave. While I was escorting her and the kids to get a ride back (I left my towel on the chair), Christian chases me down and says you didn't pay. Seriously? He was MIA 99% of the time we wanted him. I explained I was staying and then he apologized. I stayed around and got a one hour massage ($95 including a well deserved tip - heads up their website says $75 but the price there is $85 but they honored the lower one). This was the highlight of my time there and I heard other people compliment the ladies giving them. For anyone going here in the future, check to see how many Carnival Cruise ships are in port that day. If so, be ready for one overcrowded experience. I was looking forward to renting a wave runner but was told from the second we got there none were available the entire day. Without this place at or near capacity, it would have been more enjoyable for sure. Next time I am in Cozumel I will not be back given this experience. I...

We purchased the “Thrill & Chill” excursion through Carnival for our 4/21/2022-4/25/2022 Cozumel cruise. We were already excited reading prior reviews and looking at photos, but we were shocked to find it was even MORE incredible than we imagined. The ziplining had SO many guides coming along with us to help, take photos, encourage us, and anything else that was needed. It was NOT just ziplining; we started with two sets of three high ropes courses, then went on a series of 3 ziplines, then to finish, got the opportunity to grapple down from the top tower to the ground (our personal favorite). It was so jam packed with excitement that we could have done that and have been happy. Next was snorkeling, where Victor took over as our one guide. He helped us get suited and we were in very fast; the water is BEAUTIFUL and so clear. Victor was seriously the best tour guide we have ever had at any facility; he pointed out and named the fish, underwater Mayan statues, and even dove down to look deeper for hiding creatures. He saw a stingray and got him to move from under a rock so that the snorkelers could see him. It was the most incredible experience.

Our tickets also included access to the Islands Beach Club where these amenities are located. The photographer came over to offer photos, but the only option was every photo taken. I do wish there was a package option, as I would love to have some pictures, but 80 of them is unnecessary. We had a delicious lunch (and the best mojito) then relaxed in the beach chairs and swam in the water. When we were ready to leave, the club helped us get a shuttle and gave us the warmest farewell.

The entire experience was amazing; Victor invited us back for tacos with him, which we will take him up on! Everything from the club, to the activities, to the staff was incredible. I cannot recommend this best of both worlds...

I really wanted to like this place... We did the $99 per person all-inclusive package with unlimited drinks through Carnival Cruises. Transportation there was fine, and the excursion was running on time. Upon arrival, we went to the "private beach" area. Right next to the beach chairs were people trying to sell you massages, henna tattoos, and hair braiding. They would come to your chairs and ask if you'd like a service. The appetizer was tiny, but probably the best part. They did have a vegetarian option of veggie fajitas for the main course. I enjoyed those parts of our three-course meal, but the dessert was rice pudding, which was absolutely awful. There was only one "option" for dessert. The waiters were incredibly unreliable. I ordered the same thing three times before I got it, and they never apologized. These men seemed more interested in serving the intoxicated group of women sitting near us rather than even acknowledging our food and drink orders . The behavior was inappropriate. I'm sorry we're not as fun; we're still paying customers! I don't even drink, and it was still a challenge to even get water. It was advertised as bottled, but it wasn't served in a bottle. The beach was super rocky. They charge you for a mini photoshoot, which was rushed, and the photos didn't even turn out well. I'm pretty sure one of the employees was trying to hit on me. It wasn't relaxing. The VIP area was overcrowded and loud, and the service was awful. I would highly discourage this excursion. It is clearly another case of scamming American tourists' money because they know we have it.

Ziplining and snorkeling with guide Celso was fun! One bit of feedback- The zip lining was pretty fast paced with a big group, was not as adventurous as I had hoped. You stay in a Triangle for all the layers of it, it's not like you are going forward through nature from tower to tower.. but still a fun thing to check off our list! We then had Cervezas and lunch by the pool (steak tacos/ burger) with Freddy as our server, tequila tasting with Ricardo, and beachside massages with Ana and....... I'm, not sure the name of the other masseuse we had. Next time we will try the other water activities and the fish Spa (pedicures with fish cleaning your feet... looked weird but cool!) Another positive, Carnival takes care of the transportation to and from the excursions so you aren't left behind, and this spot was only about 20 min from Port terminal. There are lockers for valuables, several places where photographers take photos for purchase, souvenirs/tequila for tasting and buying, and several rentals like paddle boarding, vip lawn chairs, jet skis, etc. Was such a perfect day with perfect weather in perfect company! 🥰
