Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was semi busy. After we were sat down It took 25 minutes to get someone to take our food and drink order. I had to flag a server down to get them to take our order. Once we received our food order it took, we never got a server to come back and check on us or get drink refills. I had to also flag a server down to come bring us our bill once I got the bill I never received the change. I had to also go flag the same sever to get me my change. My suggestion is if you are a tourist visiting go somewhere else if you want semi decent service. Read moreI would normally give Allegro 5 stars, being that their coffee is excellent as well as their breakfast dishes. However, I'm downgrading my rating because they seem to have the practice of charging a foreigner (me) in U.S. dollars without asking the customer whether they prefer to be charged in dollars or pesos. When charging in U.S. currency, they give an exchange rate that is unfavorable to the customer, which gives Allegro a little more profit and costs the customer a few bucks. Like most restaurants in Mazatlan, Allegro should simply charge in pesos, which is in the best interest of the customer. Read moreFirst couple of times we had good service. Last two times have been terrible. The last time we sat down and waited and waited. Got up, got our own menus and waited even more.
After waiting for 20 minutes and not one person even acknowledging our existence, we left.
It's too bad service has declined as it is right across from the church we attend and support through our missionary work...
