Veintiocho Food & Drink — Restaurant in Sinaloa

Wish I could do 3.5. This place confounds me every time I’m here and we live in Maz. Let’s start with the service, it’s really good, solid 4.5 plus.

The band “These Guys” and the trivia that Kimberly does are both great.

Atmosphere is as good as they can for sitting on sidewalk with car going by, but pretty good.

Prices are REALLY good.

It’s the food that confuses me. Everything is good, but they’re close to great. Here are my examples:

Fries are excellent, and then VERY watery ketchup.

Chicken Parm sandwich has a lot of flavor, BUT, no marinara sauce?!?!

Hawaiian chicken sandwich, but no teriyaki sauce on it.

Quality is there, and they’re so close, but the two main ingredients in those sandwiches and good ketchup makes it all a slight miss.

Arrived last night group of 9 with reservations. Waitress was drunk. Couldn't get our orders straight. Manager asked us what our problem, after 2 hrs hadn't received our food. Manager offered us free round of drinks to compensate for poor service. I'm not too sure if the manager was sober either. Food arrived 2 and half hours after ordered. Fish and chips terrible. Had to pay for free round of drinks. Just glad to get out of there. Do no recommend this restaurant . Skip it and...

I stopped in for a midday snack and a pina colada the drink was okay but not very Frozen. The tuna bites were awful they were not coated with a batter and they were bite-size pieces that were cooked as if they were a full piece of fish. I told the waiter and the barkeep that the guac was really good but the tuna bites were inedible resulting in a 40% discount on the meal. I didn't think that was very fair but I chalked it up to being one of the few places that I would not go back...
