Spent a week in Mazatlán in 1997. Gus y Gus became my group of friend's headquarters. Great central place to regroup, recharge and plan a day or night's activities. It appears to have only improved.
Open air (but covered) table service patio with bar and short-order kitchen. There was always someone there with good enough English to take orders in English. You'll have a better experience (in general) if you learn some Spanish though.
Especially great margaritas, tacos and papas fritas (French fries to us gringos). Pacífico is made down the street so I suggest you go with that for your beer.

Read moreOne can never go wrong when you step foot into this open setting bar. Whether you are planning to eat a meal, have drinks, people watch, sports, hang out at the bar area or simply listening to live band playing, always expect good times and laughs at Gus Gus.
Servers are generally all good and attentive. Drinks are good. Even though food is not generously portioned/top notch, it still hits the spot especially when comes to the shrimp ceviche… aqua chile… machaca….or chilaquiles.

Read moreI had the BBQ wings and let me tell you they were amazing 10/10 They are not small chicken wings they are a good size. I did want to try the Marlin Tacos, but I was already too full at the point must try for next time though. I do recommend all of their food because looking around my surroundings the dishes look delicious. The atmosphere in the place the service and the food was a 10/10. There is live 70’s 80’s rock band.
