Nice little rooftop restaurant in Centro. Seems like it is family owned. I got the Huaraches and gorditas and they were all really tasty along with the consume. The reason for the four stars is because one other person in our party got enchiladas and they were ice cold. Everybody else's food was hot but this person's food was so cold that they couldn't eat. It. Seems like a one-off but a really weird one-off. If the owners read this, please make sure your food is served hot even if it's been sitting in the refrigerator.

I cannot recommend this place enough, this was our go to spot throughout our trip. Their chicken dorados, chicken enchiladas, and beef huarache were all amazing and fresh. They are each served with a small cup of soup as well! For dessert, make sure to give their homemade flan and guava pie a try. They had the best food along with the best prices. We really enjoyed getting to know the owner/staff during our visits; overall an excellent place.

I had pozole and it was decent. Chunks of chicken in a red broth in traditional serving bowls and plates. I like the broth very hot so I was happy it was served very hot (yes, even in this weather I like it like that). The salsa was spicy, the way I liked it. And they freshly toasted their tostados for you, yummy! I prefer pork but I had a craving and they were open so I gave it a try. The family was warm and welcoming.

So of course I go here because the reviews are amazing. We find the place and we have our suitcase with us. The stairwell is tight, but we make it up. This place is a quaint family run joint. The day is hot as a BBQ in August. The grand chef (the mom) puts a fan on our butts ASAP. My girl orders the Tuna Carnitas after Ivan (the waiter/son of the chef) suggests it. The Tuna arrives at our table. I prep my taco and bite in. I promptly have visions of leaving my girl and eloping with the Tuna happily ever after. I am still with the girl and regret my decision to this day. Seriously, the food is that good and the service is great! A must visit place when visiting Mazatlán / Plaza Machado.

Thank so much to the the whole...

This review is not based on the food- because we were never able to get a table and that’s not even the problem. The problem was the customer service when we asked for a table. They simply told us the restaurant was full and walked away, which was obvious by seeing the people waiting outside. We asked to be put on a wait list, however, there is no list, you simply sit outside and keep reminding the waiter that you exist. We watched their friends get priority, and they gave up a table that belonged to someone else to them. Everyone sitting outside was very upset. We ended up going to totem where la callecita should get a class on how to treat customers. They on the other hand have a waiting list and check on you...
