Mary's Sea Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Sonora

Family of 5, went for dinner at 6 PM at Mary’s and each got various entrees with shrimp. Waited almost 90 minutes for our food on a slow night in late July but service was horrible. Mom was hangry and questioned the server after we waited 90 minutes then he delivered chips and salsa to pacify us. Couple minutes later our food was delivered but only two orders were correct! Missed items and cold servings but the kicker…we were told we had to pay by 8 PM as credit cards are not accepted after 8! Once we left the restaurant three of us got sick off what we felt was the strange tasting shrimp in an area known for fresh shrimp. We will not be returning and trying to understand how this place gets such good...

First time to Mary's Sea Food Restaurant in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico and there is nothing like sitting down on the upper level eating dinner with family with a view of the ocean. We ordered the Seafood Platter that comes with Fried Fish and Shrimp, Grilled Fish and Shrimp w/garlic, and Rice. The platter was more than enough for 4 people, in fact 5 of us ate from it! The Shrimp are huge! They don't mess around. The Restaurant is located in the heart of the Malecon (Market Area) where they have shops and restaurants. Being there at night on Memorial Weekend was a little crazy with traffic. So if crowds is something you want to avoid go during the day....

We had a lovely lunch at Mary's Seafood Restaurant last week. The combo fish platter for 2 was MORE than enough. I think 4 adults would find that platter to be a substantial meal. The small ceviche was enough for 2 people also. I added hot sauce to the ceviche and I wish the seafood in the platter would have been seasoned a little more before cooking.

The margaritas were fresh and large. I had a Cadillac Margarita and my husband had a mango margarita. Finally, the service was GREAT! Our waiter was very attentive and I found the other staff to be engaging and helpful. All in all it was tasty meal and I would definitely eat...
