Bistro Mecha Centro Histórico — Restaurant in State of Mexico

It hurts me to give a 2 star... but I have to. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. We made reservations, and the place was not very busy, but it took 45 minutes after ordering to receive our soup. I ordered the tropical tuna steak... it was the best tasting tuna steak I've ever had. However, I could not eat it because it kept hurting my mouth so bad. They left guava seeds in the dish that were like little rocks and I could not eat it. When I asked them to bring it to the attention of the chef, as I could not eat any more and it chipped my tooth, they just told me that it wasn't supposed to be in there and did not offer anything else or a price reduction. So I paid full price and left still hungry. It was really unfortunate because the taste was excellent. Because of these reasons... I will not go back and I can't recommend this place. I understand mistakes can happen, but they should have offered to remake it or give me a price break as they took over half of it back to the kitchen. We walked from our hotel to Bistro Meche Restaurant on a rainy night. We were greeted by warm, welcoming staff and a beautifully decorated space. We were seated promptly and our server, Francisco, helped us with menu suggestions. He was very well informed and personable. A real bright spot in our evening! Pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage. Serrano Ham andPepperoni was great but Italian sausage was flavorless. But pizza was great overall. Thin crust and crispy. Inion soup was beautiful and my partner loved it. Topped it off with a vino rosada house wine which was very nice. Despite being slow i had to ask for water three times.
