Ming Fai — Restaurant in Veracruz

I super suspect this restaurant changed hand and anyone of previous customers who gave this restaurant 3 stars and above ate dishes from formal owner (cook). I don't believe the current cook in this restaurant got any real training.

We were the only customers at that time and ordered a wonton soup and one other dish. We waited for almost an hour to get the wonton soup which costed 248 peso in Mexico Veracruz, more expensive than US New York city price. The size was like a kid's meal size bowl. The stuff in the bowl was wrapped by very thick dough. As a Chinese I know it was not wonton, but something the cook created by his/her imagination. Not mention the taste. we just tasted one then put it down. The other dish is so so, but again the portion is like a kid's meal size in a small plate. Plus the whole restaurant from waitress to cook are all non Chinese and I don't believe they learned any Chinese cuisine before. It was cheating! How can they cheat customers like this? We were very disappointed and left a not good impression...

This is not a Chinese Restaurant. Whatever it is, the food is not good. The portions are small, and not particularly tasty. We were the only guests and waited for about 25 minutes for some noodles. El lugar siempre está vacío, pero por las otras referencias decidí darle una oportunidad. La comida estaba recalentada, el arroz quemaba la lengua pero al masticarlo se sentía frío por dentro. La salsa bbq de las costillas parecía de supermercado y la carne no estaba buena. La salsa agridulce no tenía sabor, que difícilmente pude acabar la pobre porción de su plato de 15 cm. El servicio no es para nada bueno, tardan en darse cuenta que alguien entra y no están pendientes de los comensales, no se vería a quién atiende de no ser por cuando trae la comida. La mesa estaba pañosa, con las marcas de los trapos con que supongo limpian, y las cartas están pegajosas cuando las tomas para leerlas.
