Maybe we were exceptionally unlucky with all 4 dishes that we ordered (that were all the recommendations from the waiter, cheesy balls were edible but very basic, veal in taco extremely vinegary,cold and basically inedible. Octopus crazy salty, overcooked and been out the sea for far too long. Steak in chocolate sauce, steak on its own might be ok ish, but the sauce copied from somewhere where they know how to cook.) It was a small piece of overcooked salmon that came with a mango chutney and some rice. The chutney was not bad but it needed more vinegar. The rice was reheated in the microwave so it was dry and it had become a unified mass of rice. It was quite bad. The plate also had a mango puree which was just mango fruit with nothing else. This place has phenomenal ambience - it's a historic old house, seating for 20 tops, crystal stemware and glasses, perfect lighting, decor is beautiful, antiques,and more.
