A solid restaurant where we have been several times during our stay. Since it was during the pandemic there was only a partial service which was fine. We basically always were the sole customers. The service was ok. They were fast enough. The food was good. Not michelin star cuisine but fair enough for a normal restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The sizes fed our big boys too. The normal ones could not eat all of it. The "cameron el coco" are really recommendable since they have a rather unique toping and they use the big boys instead of the small ones. The guacamole was fine too since it was freshly made - we could see it - and not convenience premade. I have no hard things to complain about. Maybe not perfectly cleaned up (though not messy nor dirty). Maybe a minor selection of salsas to dip your food in. Rather dark in the room (which may be due to the fact that they wanted to save on electricity for only a few guests). The rice was mushy and the bean sauce seemd convenience. It was solid. Maybe a bit better than solid.

The food was really good! Highly recommend the Camarones al coco that comes with half a coconut for 140 MXN. The ambience of that single large room is dominated by long rows of cheap plastic furniture but the nice paintings on the walls gave it a nice touch. Our waiter was really young. While we were eating (we were the only guest then) he and the others sat at the other end of the room watching action movies (I guess) at full volume. That was a bit weird. All in all a genuine Mexican experience.

The power was out so it was challenging for the staff. The food was pretty good but not life-changing. If you are looking for a handicap accessible place in El Cuyo, this might be your best bet. I had the Coconut Shrimp.

During our stay in El Cuyo, Miramar was our go to place for lunch. It's literally right in the town square close to the pier. But more than location the food was bomb!! I mean fresh seafood!!!! By far my faves were their ceviche mixto and camarones a la diabla. During our (several) visits there, we tried a variety of their seafood dishes and there was not one dish that we did would not 100% eat again.....and again. Did I mention the beer was super cold? And that they were one of the cheapest places in town? If you find yourself in El Cuyo, and you happen to love fantastic fresh seafood, pop into Miramar. You will leave happy and with...
