Snack El Bahri — Restaurant in El Jadida

We were served by a young man who speaks little English. He was friendly and was prompt to all our needs.

Mixed fried seafood was delicious. Fresh fish and calamari were fried moist, tender and crispy, but could be crispier and lack seasonings.

We ordered a variety of tajine. All of them were rich in flavor while retained the seafood essence in it.

The iron pan fried sole was a wonderful delight. Sole was cooked to perfection, moist and tender while accompanied by a deep rich, umami full of spice sauce. It's a must try.

The grilled seabream was a let down. Fish was not de-scale properly and it was not cooked all the way through. Sides were cold too. Better to avoid.

Seafood paella was decent and texture was just right, with each grain of rice seasoned well with seafood aroma and flavor (I prefer not to moist paella).

All in all, our bill came 700 diaharm, and it was our cheapest meal considering the portion of each dish and the amount of dish we ordered. Absolutely a steal! A must try for...

I really wanted to like this place. Sadly, the experience was not good. We came when there was a rush so I understand. Even still it was quite dirty. The bathrooms and washing up areas were not at all well cleaned. Perhaps understaffed?

The lady started putting down the papers overtop of food remains of the last customers. I had to ask to have the table wiped off.

The fish I ordered was cold and one was off completely. The calamars were good and so was the tea. Otherwise I will not recommend since the fried food lacked seasoning and flavour.

The server was wonderful, funny and charming.

It is impossible to say, but I am now nursing my daughters gastroenterite and my stomach also...

The fish dish was so fresh and delicious. I didn't know what to choose. So I requested the waiter to recommend. He kindly explain many types of dish and recommended fish type . And showed that fish and its kilo before they cook. All table in the restaurant were totally full (I got the last empty table) Even though it was so busy situation, he was so kind and helpful! Thank you for the kind waiter ( I am sorry I do not know his name but he had no hair 😅) The fish dish was so delicious and kind waiter was helpful. I had Good memory in this restaurant...
