i decided to take my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner while in essaouira — and truly can’t imagine a better experience!

the restaurant was cozy and romantic (with live laoud music!) and the owner, muhammad, pulled out all the stops for us. we had incredible service, thoughtful touches (for example, the owner discovered i like spicy food and he brought multiple spicy condiments and peppers, they turned off the lights and sang happy birthday - with a candle in our crème brûlée) and the food was some of the best we’ve had on our trip.

What an amazing little restaurant. The food was delicious, authentic Moroccan dishes that were flavorful as well as beautifully presented. We had a lamb tagine, vegetable tagine and saffron cream brûlée.
