Silvestro's was recommended to us by a lovely American lady who happened to be visiting the Riad we were staying at. She is a well-known regular at both the riad and Silvestro's and said that if we were looking for a place to eat that wasn't Moroccan, Silvestro is the one.
The food was delicious and comes in large portions, hot and fresh. It was so nice to have familiar food after being all tagine'd out! The only downside was the wait time. As someone has already pointed out below, the server spends a lot of time greeting regulars. We were new, so we felt a bit left out and certainly felt like we were not favoured as much. We were seated immediately but no exaggeration, it was 30 mins before our drinks order was taken. A further 10 minutes later, we were given some appetisers and our mains order was taken. Read moreQuality of food is really good and their seafood pasta/pizza is honeslty one of the best I know around the world! Also, having travaled extensively throughout Morocco, you really appreciate his selection of wines and beer. BUT the owner is not really nice to just 'normal customers' he sadly is so much nicer and more personable if you are an expat living there and thus a regular to his business. We have been there at least 4 times spread over 3 years and EACH time we had to watch other customers (especially families) being treated much nicer, being served first and being spoken to as if they were the only customers in the whole wide world. While we were gesturing hand signs like maniacs trying to catch the waitress's attention and being...
Read moreBest pasta I've ever had! Always fresh and flavorful dishes in a family run restaurant. I have been coming here for almost a decade and whenever I have a friend visiting my native country, I make sure to bring them here. It's a little of Italy on the Moroccan seacoast. I even had an italian friend who at first was reluctant to try this place because nothing beats his mama's pasta but he was proven wrong. The staff are very accommodating if you have any allergies or preferences for sauces and pastas. I always feel like they love what they're doing and it shows! If you're in a rush then this is not the place for you as every dish is made to order and that...
