0 is not enough for this review. We saw this in Lonely Planet and because of the “stunning view” we tried it. Okay, to be fair the view is beautiful but it’s not stunning enough for frequent travellers like us. It has a view of the ocean but it’s not the best. It’s dirty. This place is being abused by the people working here. They are very rude and threatening. Our table was beside a local family and their coffee was DH8/cup but the waiter charged us DH16/cup, which I guess because we are tourists. I’m okay to pay for DH16 if the bloody coffee is good but it’s not. If you look at the photo it looks like water with mud and has a very light coffee taste. The guy just said that it’s Moroccan coffee when we asked him. We have been travelling now for 4 weeks in Morocco and I can say it’s not “Moroccan coffee”. When we refused to have the coffee and wanted to return it, he started to call some guys and they all went to our table. The guy wearing maroon in the photo. He’s super rude and kept on probably swearing until we left. The guy selling cookies also charged DH3 for a cookie to the local family but charged us DH8/cookie. If you ask them why it’s so expensive they get very upset and will start to be a little aggressive. Overcharging is one thing but being aggressive with tourists is a NO NO NO specially if that’s the source of their income. I hope the police and tourism office will do something with this guys running this cafe.

the thing that really makes it is the view, which is nice. but there aren’t well posted fixed prices, which makes it easy to get jipped as a foreigner and get overcharged for something like mint tea! got charged 15dhr, my most expensive mint tea to date, and locals get charged ~8dhr. there are also some people who work at the cafe and some who don’t just walking around selling cookies - but you don’t know who is who! again, easy to get overcharged there too. so all in all, nice stop to quick stop while you’re in oudayas, but it didn’t have wifi or great service/reliability. but the view is nice!

Listed in google maps as Cafe Maure, but the sign on the wall says Cafe Des Oudayas. Fantastic location on the castle walls overlooking the ocean. Many terraces & places to sit. Great service, the waiters were always coming and going with trays of tea and pastries, don’t know how they did it, but no one had to wait long. Pastry choices included gluten free options. No need to ask! Met nice people (locals), great conversations. Clean, nice smelling toilets (tip the man for toilet paper-well worth it if he’s the one that keeps them clean. )

The place offers a memorable experience with its spectacular views and varied seating areas. It’s a delightful spot where you can enjoy the friendly presence of many cats and the ambiance is enhanced by the pervasive pleasant aroma of mint tea. However, the drink options are limited to tea, coffee, or soda. If you prefer mint tea, be sure to specify whether you want it sweetened or not otherwise, you’ll receive the sweet version by default. There's no obligation to purchase Moroccan pastries, which is a plus, but you can always try some.

Service requires a bit of patience as servers won’t approach you! you need to call them when you’re ready to order. The bathroom is quite small and not very clean, which detracts from the overall experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, Café Maure’s proximity to Jardin Andalous and the opportunity to stroll around and explore nearby souvenir shops make it a...

The location alone is a fanatic, yet, heavily exploited ( nearly ruined) by some locals trying to sell over priced snacks and refreshments. Although it is understandable as a tourism spot, it is bit of over the top. I have been to many tourism attraction globally, this place is still on the top of "scam" list. The toilet is not signed of any charge, but once you have used it, someone (in my case two) will hold the door and ask for tips (if say, close to demanding?). Unauthorised "local guides" normally camp at the main entry and follow tourism even if you refuse or ignore them, and of course "ask" for tips no matter if you have actually listened to their guidance.

After all, fanatics place to visit, only if you are used to...
