During my visit to Rabat’s Medina, stumbling upon the Museum of Dolls was an absolute highlight. Tucked away in the bustling streets, this little gem felt like stepping into a world of stories and artistry. Each doll was crafted with such intricate detail, reflecting the traditions and cultures they represent. What I loved most was how the museum beautifully combined Moroccan heritage with a global perspective, showcasing dolls from various parts of the world. The space itself felt intimate and inviting, making it easy to lose track of time as I admired the displays. If you ever find yourself in Rabat’s Medina, I highly recommend taking a moment to discover this unique and enchanting museum—it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

The Puppet Museum in Rabat is truly a hidden gem! The collection is incredibly diverse, showcasing puppets from around the world and different eras. It’s fascinating to see the history and art in these little figures. The exhibitions are creatively done and really engaging. The riad where the museum is located is worth a visit on its own - it’s beautiful and well-maintained, and the restroom is very clean. This is a private collection that has been opened to the public, and you can tell how much love the couple who owns it has put into it. We even had the chance to meet the husband, who shared a lot about where the puppets come from. If you’re in Rabat, definitely check this out - it’s a wonderful and personal experience!

This is a one of its kind museum that shows a large collection of personal dolls from around 100 countries of the world. Getting to this place involves getting down at the entrance of the Rabat Old Market, and then walk inside the allies. The place can be reached with ease on a maps application. The dolls are displayed inside a traditional Moroccan house (called “Riad”), and span over 2 floors. The ground floor has 2 rooms while the upper floor has an additional room. Tickets are bought at the entrance by cash only, and your ticket is sold to you by the owner of the place, who, can explain things to you. Expect to spend around 30 minutes here. They have a restroom.
