We were browsing online about a week prior to our stay and were having trouble finding any vacancies in Rabat. Dar Mayshad popped up so we locked it in, based on the lovely photos online. ||We were able to pay before arrival on our credit card which seemed to be a rarity in Morocco. We contacted to property and discovered that the parking near Kasbah des Oudayas was the most convenient (charged at 3dh per hour). It was a short (5 min?) walk from there. Google maps directions are a little bit off, they will get you most of the way. When you get to the house with the blue cats painted on the wall, take the first laneway to the left. ||The property itself is absolutely stunning. The decor is even more lovely than the photos. Think upmarket contemporary Moroccan. We were welcomed with mint tea and shown around the property. There are a multitude of lovely spaces to spend time in, including a main foyer, boutique, dining area, lounge area, ‘mini bar’, boutique, yoga room and a roof terrace. The only problem was that we didn’t spend enough time at Dar Mayshad to use them all! As a boutique property with only three rooms, we had nearly exclusive use of these spaces. ||The room itself was lovely, if not a little small. We didn’t find this a problem as we were only visiting for one night, and there are so many other spaces to spend time in. The bed was comfy (firmish but standard for Morocco), the water was hot and the WiFi worked well. ||The staff were attentive to all of our needs and gave great service. We decided to stay in for dinner which proved to be delicious. It was a fixed menu and We had a 3 salad entree, chicken pastilla, monkfish tagine and creme caramel (35 euro). I also had the white wine (6 euro). Everything was lovely. ||We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. If you’re considering booking, consider no longer,...

Read moreBe careful before heading to this place, There is no menu neither an English speaking person present. The food is expensive and you only have one option for food and that’s it. I called the number before going but non of these were mentioned, instead they told me to bring cash as the machine is broken (I think I was talking to the manager), We spend more than half hour walking in Medina to try to find it at night as the street is not on Google map and there is no clear direction or address provided. We were so angry so we left without eating. But we gave a very generous tip to waitress/chef as she seemed super nice. BTW, the interior design was so good and that is why I am...
