Went there for brunch today with a few friends, noted plenty of variations of coffee & Burmese food. Most of the other food seen on Google maps seems to match their digital counterparts. For me unfortunately it could have been better if the actual presentation of the laksa noodle matched the one that’s posted on the social media handle on Facebook.

Attached below’s a picture of what is shown on the Facebook page & what was served in-person. Soup looks & drank more like a mohinga. The yellow noodle option selected were a little rough looking. Toppings feel like they could be fresher/meatier. Maybe it was just a weird day at the kitchen or maybe I simply chose the wrong food since there are stellar reviews on the other food types, but it’d be nice if the actual food ordered matches the presentation of either the on-site menu or the restaurant’s digital media handles.

Drinks were pretty good if inconsistent- ordered the cold brew soda & the menu showed an unmixed drink; which was exactly what I wanted for my picture but it came stirred and mixed. Meanwhile my friend’s something mocha came unmixed, so I ended up with a less than ideal meal & picture. My friend’s honey lemon cold brew was rocking though.

Hope QC can be maintained and Cafe Salween lives up to...

Brilliant Coffee and at a high standard. I had been working at a cafe in NZ and the coffee scene there is of a hight standard mostly so I was used to drinking heaps of the good stuff everyday, since then I've been on the road for over 6 months now and nothing that even comes close to the high standard and well thought out cup of heaven, this was until me and my partner stumbled upon this hidden gem. The lads are very professional and with good skills at the machine and good hygiene (so happy to see somewhere in South East Asia cleaning their steam wands!!) Good job lads and you're obviously doing great work as I spotted the trophies lined up on the bar for latte art competitions 👌 some really great and fresh ideas on the menu with drinks. The food looked amazing but unfortunately apart from the looks, I can't comment any further as I only went for coffee. My partner had a local frappe mocha which could of easily came out like most frappes without much thought but this came in a nice stylish glass and finished with fresh honeycomb. It's these extra touches thst will make them a step above the rest and what a great time for these lads to be getting the coffee scene booming in Myanmar 👌 Thank you...

We had a brilliant experience this morning for lunch at Cafe Salween. The waiters were very attentive and provided superb service.

For our mains, we had 2 pastas (carbonara and shan chicken) and 1 kachin pork chop and all 3 were delightful. For dessert, we had their special coconut and malai pizza, as well as the fried calzone. Both were great and unique. The calzone was a little on the sweet side but on the bright side, that helped to ease off the heaviness from our mains. We also sampled their taunggyi latte, flat white and tea options which all didn't disappoint.

There was no one else when we came at 1125 am (reserved via Facebook for safe measure and that was a great experience too). The ambience is really nice with great view of the city skyline from the 8th floor.

Overall an awesome experience and would definitely...
