Nathan's Curryhaus — Restaurant in Goslar

I am falling short of words to describe this amazing place. Normally Indian restaurants in Germany have the standard Indian fare, which most of the times is bland for my typical Indian palate. I went to this place for dinner today, was very easy to locate with google maps. The restaurant doesn't have a typical seating, it is rather homely and cozy in a backyard kind of setting. The owner is very kind and soft spoken, I was quite early for dinner, and he had table reservations but was kind enough to offer me a table. I had the chicken curry (south indian style with coconut milk) with naan and rice and papad! It was one of the most wholesome meals I've ever had. The curry, rice and naan were all steaming hot! Nathan was kind enough to ask me if I wanted the curry 'Indian spicy' and made it spicy so I could thoroughly enjoy it. The mango lassi was perfect, spiced with cardamom, something I have had only at home. The quantity was so good, I was completely full. I have never felt so satisfied having Indian food in Germany, this was wholesome and a lovely experience. Thank you for making me feel home...

Wenn sich ein Restaurant-Besuch als eine heimische Einladung, zum Diner entpuppt, dann seid ihr wohlauf angekommen, in Nathan's Curryhaus. - Angesichts der vorherigen Rezensionen, konnten wir es uns, in unseren Urlaub, nicht entnehmen lassen, Nathan zu besuchen; Wie bereits einige Vorgänger schrieben, erfolgt der Eintritt, in das "Lokal", nach einer herzlichen Begrüßung, direkt über die Küche, woraufhin der Speiseraum, über eine minimalistische, fast abenteuerliche, steile Holztreppe erreicht wird. (Besucher, welche keine Koordination besitzen, sollten sich lieber an das vorhande Treppengitter klammern 😉). Hinsichtlich des Speiseraumes, bietet dieser nur einen Tisch, welcher jedoch für mehrere Personen geeignet ist. - Trotzdessen würde ich empfehlen, Nathan vorher anzurufen, um sicherzugehen, dass der "Restaurant - Besuch" möglich ist. (Des Weiteren befindet sich direkt neben den Speiseraum ein geräumiges Badezimmer, welches den Anschein nach, momentan etwas renoviert wird) Im weiteren Bezug auf den Speiseraum, befindet sich in diesem ein Kühlschrank, mit einer sehr großen Auswahl an alkoholischen und nicht alkoholischen Getränken, an welchen wir uns frei bedienen durften. - Aber nun zum Hauptthema.. - Das Essen! Bezüglich des Essens, war dieses hervorragend, Nathan ermöglichte es uns, Wünsche frei zu äußern und ging auf diese adäquat ein. - Subjektiv würde ich behaupten, dass das Chicken Curry das Beste war, welches ich bisher gegessen habe. - Auch mein Freund, war mit seinen vegetarischen Curry zufrieden. Hinsichtlich des Fleisches, war dieses lediglich leider nicht halal, was jedoch nicht standardgemäß ist. - Muslime, welche Interesse an Nathan's Curryhaus haben sollten, können jedoch problemlos zur vegetarischen Curry - Variante greifen. | Fazit: Super Lokal, top Preisleistungsverhältnis, hervorragender Gastgeber, abenteuerliches Ambiente, traumhaftes...

What an gem of the place and the people we met today. It’s just felt home away from home. Food (best curry I have ever had, the naan were just yum I could have pushed 10 down my throat, lassi was a real one not a Sirup and sugar stuff that are served elsewhere)was amazing and the hospitality was of different planet altogether!! The only complaint I have it for myself that I didn’t have enough appetite else would have had everything that’s on the menu 😂😂 I can only recommend and would say don’t miss this chance to dine here.
