Ghandruk Nepali Kitchen — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I am honestly really disappointed with Ghandruk. In its initial days, the place was really good but its disheartening to see a restaurant with such a high potential lose its charm.

I ordered Chicken sizzler and it had french fries instead of boiled potato. The chicken was not tender but rather chewy and bland. Worse, the carrot had a stale taste. I could not eat and left the food.

The most disappointing experience was the service. My friend had ordered chicken thakali. Daal was BAD and saag was uncooked. There was another table who also ordered thakali and three servers kept visiting the table for extra add-ons but we never got asked even ONCE! My friend called the server three times to add extra veggies and rice only to be ignored. He was never offered additional veggies or rice or anything for thakali.

We left the place with disappointing food taste and a disheartening...

I recently dined at Ghandruk Nepali Kitchen and found the experience to be quite pleasant overall. The ambience was inviting and pleasant, creating a comfortable setting for a meal. Seating was adequate, ensuring that we had a good amount of space to enjoy our time there. I ordered the Chicken Thakali Khana, which was generally good. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the daal, which was simply amazing. However, the chicken was not upto expectations. The mustang aalu was great. Additionally, I tried their American Choupsey which was disappointing due to the excess sauce. On the brighter side, the service was commendable and the staff were attentive. A decent place for thakali khana at WTC, Tripureswor with good food and authentic Ghandruk like ambience. Recommended!
