Otafuku Japanese Cuisine & Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Lalitpur Metropolitan City

Ordered from Foodmandu, felt like eating Japanese and wanted to try them this time.

OMG where to start,

Food was so cold when arrived. Donburi rice was so hard, felt like raw, they did not even include any side dish like salad or even sauce, only miso soup and a pinch of soju was there. Tempura was so soggy, there was only 1 piece of prawn, tempura was so bland because there was no any sauce, really lost my apetite after taking a bite. Tokayaki was very bad, could not taste anything, felt like a veg takoyaki, though octopus was there it felt like it was charred. Oh and the packaging, the worst ive seen for any japanese restaurant, they literally wrapped everything in aluminum foil, miso soup was on plastic. Worst japanese food experience ive had. Their online experience is so bad, i can only imagine how bad actually dining experience over there would have been. Someone please close down this restaurant , they really are massacaring the Japanese food while charging premium (even expensive than...

Do not go! Horrible food, very unprofessional. When we ordered Mocha, it was made with instant coffee and they put Hershey’s chocolate syrup in one and forgot on the other. When I complained when I was halfway done with my coffee, they suggested to put syrup. Ridiculous. Teriyaki chicken was made of stale chicken, too hard. Teriyaki sauce was too salty. Chicken was not well cooked. Tempura was bland and the tempura sauce was even more bland. Then the killer was the katsu don. Soggy as a bog!!! It was horrible!!! Do not go!!!!! This place has degraded tremendously from when it started and even more from 6 months ago. I understand that sushi cannot be fresh in Nepal and needs to be frozen but the tuna sushi just smelt bad. Utterly disappointed. Ordered the jumbo sushi platter and it used to come with octopus sushi too, which wasn't great to begin with, but even that wasn't available as well and was replaced with more egg sushi and the charge was the same. They served a pea sized portion of wasabi and the same amount of pickled ginger for such an expensive price. I hope you guys get better for the price...
