⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Like Staying With Family!

One of my close friends from India asked me to help him find a good place to stay during his visit to Kathmandu. I suggested Indsu Home, and he still thanks me for it!

Reserving the room was quick and simple — he booked directly through phone call and got a friendly confirmation right away.

He stayed in a clean, spacious room with a comfy memory foam bed and a nice little balcony to relax. He loved how quiet and homely everything felt — far better than a big, crowded hotel.

One highlight he kept talking about was the lunch in their lovely area. He enjoyed a freshly prepared Nepali meal surrounded by plants and flowers — simple, tasty, and so peaceful.

What really made the difference was the people. The staff were always ready to help with a smile — from arranging taxis to giving local tips. Even more special was how the owner’s family personally looked after him, checking in every day to make sure he had everything he needed.

He told me it felt less like a hotel and more like staying with caring family friends in Nepal.

I have only good things to say about this property. Nice location in a quiet area in Lalitpur, it feels homey and cosy. Only a short drive to Kathmandu. The warmth of the staff will comfort you directly. From the moment I came I know that I'll be taken care of. They speak broken English, but enough to get by and they're always willing to help. Be ready to climb few floors of stairs if you get a higher room as there's no elevator. The room is spacious and has a balcony, although the shower is a bit rundown and the handle is fidgety. But it has hot&cold water facilities so not to worry. The restaurant food is delicious as well. The owner, Sanjog, is one hell of a guy. He helped me arrange my entire trip in Nepal, nothing is ever too much to ask for and always smiling. He and his family lives just behind the unit, so they're reachable most of the time. This is the reason I love staying in a local guest house, as it adds a personal touch to my stay, compared to a hotel with a cold approach from the staff. Learnt a lot from him too.
