This place felt like home during my 2 months in Nepal. Mainly, because the staff in incredibly guest friendly and makes an effort for people to get together. Many travelers, like me, kept returning over and over again and kind if a community formed. On top of the social atmosphere I want to highlight the bunk beds, which are amongst the most premium I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many, trust me. Comfy mattress, space around it, a large lockable box and a curtain. And they are made from a sturdy steel frame, so no squeaking or wiggling. The large selection of bard games is superb and also made people come together in the open common area. The small included breakfast changed every day which I liked. Due to the attached restaurant and the managers being connected in the area you can sometimes find nice locals hang out for board games too. They organise and suggest authentic events which got me to a nice techno party one night. In terms of location I was happy to be in a quiet neighborhood, a bit away from Thamel. Patan is a very trending place, so you're not short if nice restaurants. They only thing I'd like to see changed/improved are the showers. Compared to the rest of the property they seem a bit cheap and not so clean. Tiled floor and walls, more water pressure, quick hot water and with enough space to store your clothes dryly would be great! Still full 5 stars, because this place offers everything I as a backpacker want and need from a hostel. Thanks for everything <3 keep going like this! Well, Emmi, you could be friendly to people from time to time ;)

This was such a pleasant stay. I extended my stay 4 more nights for a total of 6nights. The location is quiet, outside of the craziness of tourists, opposite of Thamel vibe, nicer neighborhood, yummy restaurants to try, 20min walk to Patan Durbar Square, and if you're feeling lazy there is also a cafe connected to hostel that offers deliscious, authentic cuisine from different ethnic communities of Nepal which was unique to try and super good! I stayed in 8 bed female dorm which was the cleanest and spacious dorm i stayed in Nepal, even better than private rooms I've experienced. I bet their private rooms are amazing. Decent price but worth the money. Easy 100 rupee 15min motorbike taxi to Thamel when I did a afternoon of shopping before I left the country. Staff is friendly and I did donation based walking tour with Sandeep which was awesome. Emi is great and other desk staff are always helpful. Loved the fact they had a roof top communal kitchen so I got to cook my breakfasts there all week. Funny moment when monkeys visited to take bananas so don't leave deliscuous treats like that in the bins please! Also complimentary chai and toast in mornings was nice as well. Beds are comfy, fluffy towels, curtain, clean bathrooms, solar hot showers, lockers in each bed area. I also chose this hostel because i loved the colors in the photos. Very bright and welcoming. Overall, I would definitely stay again if I come back to Nepal. This made Kathmandu more enjoyable than when I first arrived in the country and stayed in the hustle bustle of Thamel.

I wasn't super sure where to stay in Kathmandu, and I had a recommendation from a friend to stay at the Nextdoor Patan, and I am super glad I stayed. The hospitality was exceptional, very welcoming, and supportive. The rooms were very fresh, although you might want to turn the heater off in the evening. The bathroom basins were all new. There is a rooftop, court yard, and restaurant next door. The location is also super nice. Wide streets, and it's a very short motorcycle ride to Themal, which I personally found didn't have enough sunlight in the streets. I have been told you need to find a hostel that has sunlight in Kathmandu... and this hostel provides all of these things! There are also lots of activities to do in the hostel, so if you're not sure what to do in Kathmandu, just rock up and they will support you!
