Thasang used to be my favorite spot for Thakali dinners. Last year, I took my parents there, and it was very crowded. We waited for almost 20-30 minutes for a table. When one finally emptied, we sat down, but 5-10 minutes later, a staff member rudely told us we couldn't sit there because it was reserved for other guests. This was very disrespectful, especially with my parents present. I understand that we have no right to sit if the table is reserved. However, there was no sign indicating the table was reserved, and the staff member's behavior was rude and unprofessional. As a loyal customer, I felt deeply disappointed. We went to Jimbu Thakali in Jamsikhel instead. I haven't been back to Thasang since. It's a shame that such a good place has such poor service.

Read morePost Lockdown: (1/5) The thakali was disappointing in my recent visit. They have increased the price and decreased the quality. The Paneeer wasn't yum at all. Mix veg was okayish. Before when they charged 385 for Mix veg they provided 2 options for tarkaris. Now they charge 450 and provide only mix veg?? Also, the staffs have been super rude. Just after we started eating, one of the staff came and ask if we needed anything and they everytime we need to shout and cal out others. Bad food. Bad experience.
And yes, they don't have ATM service. Only FONEPAY.
1st Experience: (4/5)The Thakali khana was great, the vegetables choice could be better. The staffs were humble and the price is decent for the food. However, the ambience of the place was kind of...
Read moreThe BEST thakali in Kathmandu valley for me. I usually get pork and mutton, pork being my favorite here. What sets this place apart from the rest of the thakali places around, for me, is the completeness of food items coupled with awesome and consistent taste. On top of that, this place is relatively cheaper than the...
