This is the most humbling place to visit and stay. The breakfast foods are indeed the best in comparison to the average received in a western world but that’s what makes it truly enjoyable. The coffee has the most amazing flavour. This is a classic case of a different culture transitioning into another cultures diet.
The accomodation itself is comfortable with basic facilities adequate for anyone’s needs. The only downside to the stay are the pigeons that will awaken you at 5am every morning during the autumn months, to ironically disappear somewhat after 9am.

Read moreWiFi did not work in my room. The hotel and all the stuffs including towels, toilet papers, glass, tile, carpet, ceiling, wall, and floor were so old and not clean. I could not see my face since the mirror in the bathroom was too old. My room was too dark all day long and smelled mouldy. A Big spider had lived and an earthworm was in the bathroom. One cockroach also was found in my room. Three days later, I came to know ground floor room is far poorer than other floor room and asked to change my room. it's more expensive than hotels in Thamel but more peaceful. Staffs were kind. Breakfast is quite good. Avoid ground floor room if u want to stay here. One more thing the Hotel is quite different with the photos in...
Read moreThe Yellow House is a fantastic and cozy gem in the heart of Sanepa, Lalitpur area. I attended their Sunday Farmer's Market which runs every Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Grabbed some chips and guacamole from one of the vendors and some cookies and lemon tart from a bakery vendor which were sweet and delicious. I ordered a latte and the Big Yellow breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, sausage and delicious bread and jam. My friends had coffee, iced tea and the same breakfast set. Amazing garden space and lots of options for food. We also got to try their homemade blueberry cakes, courtesy of Miss Rani. Will be back soon! And definitely recommend all interested to visit and enjoy the sunshine and Sunday...
