Last evening, I had the pleasure of dining at Mustang Thakali Restaurant & Bar. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with traditional Nepalese decor that set the stage for an authentic dining experience.

The menu was a vibrant tapestry of flavors, each dish telling its own story of Nepalese culture. The Thukpa, a hearty noodle soup, was a bowl of warmth and comfort, ideal for the chilly evenings of Chitwan. It was rich with vegetables and tender pieces of chicken, the broth seasoned with just the right amount of spices to enhance but not overpower the natural flavors.

My visit to this thakali was an exercise in patience and disappointment. The service crawled at a pace that could only be described as glacial, leaving me wondering if I had unwittingly checked into a time capsule set on slow-motion. The staff, with their unfriendly demeanor, seemed to have attended a masterclass in making guests feel unwelcome.

To add insult to injury, the prices were as inflated as my frustration. I felt like I was paying a premium for the privilege of waiting endlessly and being met with disdain. It's astonishing how this establishment manages to charge exorbitant rates for an experience that left me questioning the very concept of value for money.
