Dany's at Cupecoy Beach Bar — Restaurant in Île des Terres Basses

We stumbled across this place by accident. We came from playing a round of golf and wanted somewhere to go before heading back to the hotel. We just drove in the area until we could not anymore. And saw the bar shak from the roadway. Although there is a private property sign, we still drove in and asked the guy if we were allowed in for a drink. Over a period of 5yrs I spent many days there chatting with people from all over the world. Got to know Danny and his helpers over that time, always made it my first place to go after arriving. Took & printed out some wedding photo's 1 day and surprised the newlyweds with roughly 20-30 freshly printed photo's, the actual photographer was not happy with me that day. We found this place near the end of our trip. Danny runs a good operation & his food was the best local food we had in the 8 days we were there. His mom is the hostess and both of them are nice as can be, very professional. The beach there is beautiful the water can be rough but nice if you swim out a bit. Eat the combo plate ( ribs & chicken ) it is cooked as you order it so this isn’t fast food. If you have a drink or 2 it will be ready before you know it.
