Fat Tony's — Restaurant in Île des Terres Basses

On our first day arriving we Google restaurants an FAT TONY'S came up. The lady with the glasses think her name is Suzanne she was very helpful. We decided to go back again another night. We order 3 pizzas, 2 orders of fries and wings. We told the young waiter well we wil be ordering drinks as well. So he said since we came before just but the drink on the tap from the other side of the bar. FINE! We decided to clear the tap an start a new one. I went to the same young waiter an I told him we are ready for the check. He.asked if we paid for the drinks , I told him that it was to be added from the bar side..He shouted at me an had me know this is FOOD SIDE AND THAT'S DRINK SIDE!!! I was like service. When walking aways he would have me know THEN I SHOULD GO SOME WHERE ELSE!!!!!!!! This upset me because my money is good as everyone else MONEY. The same nice lady notice I was upset an come over an asked if everything is OK. I told her what happen an she APOLOGIZED FOR HIS BEHAVIOR. I was ready to go at this point. She dealt with out Bill an because of the treatment we didn't want to stay anymore NOR WILL NOT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING ANYONE TO COME...

Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. To start with the food is wonderful. All the meat is slow cooked for 11 hours before ready to serve. I had the brisket and my companion had the pulled pork. Both were outstanding. Served with two sides for 16 and $17. Neither of us could finish are meals they serve so much food. I talked with the owner, Rick. Great guy. Retired from corporate life in America. Decided to buy a barbecue restaurant in St Maarten and do it right. The restaurant was destroyed by the hurricane only the floor was left. They rebuilt and everything except the floor is brand new. Open air restaurant with a full bar. Family atmosphere. Neighbors stop by just to say hello.

Wow! This place is fantastic with a positive vibe. Rick is genuine host, and Cathy a stellar bar keep. The food is flavorful and fresh, with great service and ice cold Heineken draft, among many other beverages. My family and I had lunch and dinner during our 3 days in Cupecoy, St. Maarten. We shared smoked brisket, pulled pork, burgers, wings and pizza for lunch on 04 July 2021. We returned for dinner on our last night, and shared the special - a savory steak with baked potato and salad. Plus the Mahi-Mahi sandwich, the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, and pizza… all were incredible. We watched the Italy vs Spain game on the big screen TV. There is also casual live music that starts late afternoon. I strongly recommend this...
