An absolutely amazing experience! The service was super friendly and attentive, able to explain the menu in English and also recommended dishes by our preferences. The seating inside was fully booked so I recommend making a reservation or come early (ish). At about 5 pm there were still places available outside by the water which added to a nice, chilled and romantic atmosphere❤️ We didnt have to wait too long for our meals and MY! Vito is located just outside business of the city center of Alkmaar next to the Accijnstoren and a small harbour. The restaurant offers some fine Italian dining. The dishes are a feast for the eye and tasted well. I had some thinly sliced veal with tuna as a starter and slices of veal with a spinach risotto for the main course. I ate it all including the flowers. My wife had kind of a bitter ball with gorgonzola cheese with spinach and a beetroot mouse and a chicken corn themed main dish. I will start my story with "Fake-Itallian" restaurant and I will explain why. When you have been to Italy this restaurant is paying no effort to authentic Italian meals and rather pays attention on the outside for the Italian feeling and even that is too much. Clearly vissible there is a Dutch owner/partner behind it. The deer steak (without any flavor) came with "Boerenkool" leafs and sauerkraut. The Tirimasu is a joke!
