This cat café is quite big compared to the cat cafe in Amsterdam. There is a lot of space for cats and customers as well. It is nicely decorated and it makes you feel at home.
However, the staff service is really poor. After we found a place to sit, they immediately came up with the question what we would like to order without having time to look at the menu. We ordered some drinks in a rush but they never came back asking us if we want to order something to eat. Also, the staff was just hanging around without any attention to the customers! Chitchatting with other customers without taking notice of people who would like to order something!!
Ofcourse, most people come here to chill with the cats but please make some effort to serve us if you want to sell overpriced food! Food was ok. It was nothing special. I had a tosti and some coffee. My friend want to order a sandwich but they made the salad version!!! They did not even ask if he want the sandwich or salad version.
Poor service. Don't come here to eat. They don't expect you to...

I've never visited a cat cafe before, but as with most of my new experiences, my partner convinced me to go. We'd checked out from our accommodation and had a few hours to kill before heading to Schiphol.
The owner and staff at the cafe were lovely, very polite, and really friendly. All food and drink we ordered arrived quick, in dainty and pretty crockery, and was delicious and refreshing.
The cats were amazing. It really felt like a cat haven first, and a café second. It was like you step into their world and got the pleasure of spending time with them for a few hours. The cats were friendly, cute, and one sat on my lap and cuddled for around an hour.
There was ample seating and a comfy sofa space, the perfect place for us to relax whilst waiting for our flight later in the day.
While we likely won't be visiting Almere Stad again any time soon, we definitely recommend this café and would happily return! Many thanks to all the staff for a...
Read moreI was really looking forward to going to this cafe, however the horrible attitude of the manager/owner was shocking. As soon as I walked in she gave me a very unfriendly warning to wait for the first set of automatic doors to close before I opened the front door next time, in case the cats escaped.
She then glared at me the whole time I was in there, as if I’d deliberately tried to free the cats and then had the nerve to sit down. I apologised for my door-opening technique but she just blanked me and continued to glare.
There certainly won’t be a next time for me with customer service like that, overall it was an uncomfortable and very disappointing experience and I certainly don’t expect to be treated like that for an honest mistake, wish I’d never gone there now.
Pros: other staff were friendly, cats were cute
Cons: awful,...
